Family boutique Hotel “The Moon” is located right in the center of Sofia, immediately adjacent to the “St. Patriarh Evtimiy” subway station, meters away from the iconic statue of the same name, and only a few minutes away from the National Palace of Culture and the pedestrian area on boulevard “Vitosha”. The Family hotel represents an entirely renovated house originally built in 1916, which combines the past and the present in one of the coziest and most calm places in the city center. It is suitable both for business and romantic trips. The Family hotel offers 8 rooms – 2 singles and 6 doubles.

Does the hotel have parking?
The hotel does not offer parking spaces. However, there are 24/7 third-party paid parking lots nearby. Please contact us for further assistance.
Then is there parking nearby?
Yes, there are several third-party parking lots nearby. The closest one is on “6-ti septemvri” street 34 while a large one is the big buffer parking under the National Palace of Culture (NDK).
Is breakfast included in the price of the reservation or do I have to pay extra for it?
Breakfast is included in the rate of your room. All guests can individually indicate a time for breakfast as it is prepared separately for each guest.
Does the hotel have an elevator?
As the hotel is housed within a historical building built in the year 1916, there is no elevator. If prefers a room on a lower floor, they are kindly asked to mention that when making their reservation.
What are the reception opening hours?
Reception is open 24/7. However, during nocturnal hours, the front door is closed. A guest can request to open it by asking the reception desk.
Is there a metro, bus stop or other type of public transport nearby?
Since the hotel is central, there is plenty of public transport available to guests! Most notably, the M3 (Green) metro line has an entrance very close to the hotel. There are also bus and tram stops very close by.
Can I order a transfer?
Whether arriving in Sofia or departing, we recommend taking a conventional taxi to or from the hotel. Upon request, especially for groups of up to 6 persons, we recommend ordering a VIP transfer by phone directly with us. Please keep in mind that if your reservation has been made directly with the hotel and not through any third parties and is of length of 3 or more days, you are entitled to a free one-way transfer (to or from the hotel). To arrange it, please write us an email or call us as soon as you make your booking!
What documents do I need to check into the hotel?
All guests are required by law to present a valid personal passport or identity card issued by authority in order to be checked into the hotel. Failure to do so could result in impossibility of checking in.
Does the hotel have a spa area, pool or gym?
The Moon Family Boutique Hotel 1916 does not offer spa, swimming pools or gym facilities. If you would like such facilities, please refer to our reception desk who will recommend and guide you to such according to your taste. We pride ourselves to serving our guests with a personal touch. The Moon is a special place in the heart of Sofia, hidden and quiet, yet very welcoming and warming.
